Welcome

This is the website of Acton High School's Environment Club, better known as Gang Green. Through this club we strive to lower the impact on the environment of not only our school, but of the students, and by extension the town. We do this through such initiatives as "Lights Off" programs in the classrooms throughout the school, and "Monitors Off" stickers placed on every computer monitor in the school. We also encourage a better use of recycling bins, and even want to get more bins placed throughout the school. Our goal is to have one recycling bin in the school for every grabage can. These are a few of our current initiatives, and we are working on several more.

We are also attending the World Wildlife Fund's annual CN-Tower climb which will be taking place on April 17th. If you would like to donate to WWF-Canada then please find one of the club's members or another person who is attending this event and pledge some money; it's for a good cause. We are also encouraging the participation in Earth Hour, which will be happening on March 29th, at 8pm. So everyone turn off all your lights and electronics at that time.

Over the next several months this site will be updated with more and more content so check back often.

Cheers, and thanks for visiting.
